Wire EDM at Benxin: Precision Cutting for Slots, Thin Walls and Hardened Steel
News 2022-06-14
Eight wire EDM machines — slow, medium and fast wire — cut precise slots, thin walls and hardened materials up to ±0.005 mm, a capability many general machine shops simply do not have.

Body:
Some features are too hard, too thin or too delicate for conventional cutting. That is where wire EDM (electrical discharge machining) takes over: a charged wire erodes the material with spark erosion, leaving a clean, burr-free cut with no cutting force on the workpiece.
Our wire EDM capability:
- 8 wire EDM machines — slow, medium and fast wire covering different precision and cost requirements
- Precision up to ±0.005 mm (slow wire) — among the tightest tolerances in our factory
- Handles hardened materials — steel that is too hard for milling or turning can still be cut precisely
When customers choose wire EDM:
- Precise slots, keyways and thin walls that would break a cutter
- Mold components and inserts with tight internal geometry
- Tooling and fixtures that must hold critical dimensions
- Parts where zero burr and a clean edge matter — medical and semiconductor work included
Wire EDM is why Benxin can take a job “too difficult” for a general shop: the drawing says ±0.005 mm, and there is a machine in our factory built to hold it. Send us your drawing (PDF, STEP or DWG) — quotation within 24 hours.
